3 Key Tips for DNB CET 2017 that favours success in NEET PG 2018

dnb cet june 2017

Why DNB CET June 2017 is a must for NEET PG 2018 preparation?

There are a number of reasons why DNB CET 2017 is a key for your upcoming NEET PG exams. Last NEET PG saw major changes is the exam MCQ pattern and a nearly full revision of the National Board of Examinations (NBE) pool. Not so surprisingly such changes had already happened in the DNB CET 2016. There are a number of areas where DNB CET resembles NEET PG. There are also key reasons why DNB CET preparation be a prerequisite for NEET PG 2018. Let us see some of them below.

3 Key Tips for DNB CET that sets the scene for success in NEET PG 2018

TOP TIP 1: Why DNB CET is the best spaced exam for NEET PG?

In 2016 all state PG exams came to an end leaving few national institute exams and DNB CET. There are very few exams after NEET PG in December until next December. This makes it extremely hard to have regular focussed preparation for NEET PG. However DNB CET 2017 in June is in the midway for NEET PG 2018. The timing of DNB CET June 2017 could not be better for an excellent trail run for NEET PG 2018.

TOP TIP 2: Why DNB CET is the best exam to practice for NEET PG?

Following the NEET PG exam in December there are a few institute exams to prepare. But NIMHANS, AIIMS, JIPMER and PGI are very different exams to NEET PG 2018. These exams need separate preparation and there is very little on common since NBE took over the AIPGMEE exams from AIIMS examiners in 2012. On the other hand NEET PG, DNB CET and MCI Screening (FMGE) exams are conducted by NBE examiners. The pool of questions are shared too! Isn’t that good enough reason to appear for DNB CET in 2017? Think of this last year DNB CET November exam was merged with NEET PG 2018 – same pool, same exam.

TOP TIP 3: The NBE-family prometric advantage

NEET PG and DNB-CET are computer-based exams with prometric scoring. DNB CET June 2017 is an early opportunity to experience the prometric scoring system before your one final chance in December 2017 (NEET PG 2018). The type of MCQs with a lot more focus on basic concepts is common to the NBE pool (NEET PG – FMGE screening – DNB CET).

Overall the advantage of preparing and appearing for DNB CET far outweighs the advantage of qualifying for DNB CET exam alone. G2M medical team highly recommend that you start preparing for DNB CET June. Prometric mock tests are also being developed. There is a June 2017 Platinum Offer for DNB CET candidates.
